Everything Zoopy does, and which plan does it

Zoopy watches Facebook Marketplace, and more marketplaces in some countries, and sends a push when a new listing matches your hunt. Here is all of it, in plain words.

Hunts

Tell Zoopy exactly what you want

A hunt is one saved search that Zoopy keeps running for you. Make it as broad or as picky as you like.

  • Car hunts

    All plans

Pick one or more makes and models, a year range, a kilometre or mile range and gearbox.

  • iPhone hunts

    All plans

Choose the models you want and set the most you would pay for each one.

  • Anything else

    All plans

Type keywords for furniture, tools, bikes, consoles, cameras or anything a marketplace sells.

  • Keyword rules

    All plans

Use AND, OR and NOT to say what must, may and must not be in a listing.

  • Price range

    All plans

Set a minimum and a maximum so you only hear about listings you would buy.

Alerts

Alerts you can act on from the lock screen

Zoopy opens each new listing and reads all of it before it alerts you. The push carries what you need to decide.

  • The details that matter

    All plans

Price, mileage, gearbox and fuel for cars. The suburb or town and how far away it is.

  • Reads the whole listing

    All plans

Filters and hidden words check the description, not just the title.

  • Your sound, your hours

    All plans

Pick an alert sound or none, and set quiet hours for the night.

  • Open it your way

    All plans

Choose whether tapping an alert opens the listing in Zoopy or straight on its own marketplace.

  • Max alerts go first

    Max

When many alerts go out at once, Max members are sent first.

Filters

Less junk, more of what you want

Marketplaces are full of dealers, wrecks and listings that are not what they seem. Zoopy helps you skip them.

  • Hide dealer, salvage and damaged listings

    All plans

Keep them out of your alerts. They stay in your feed if you want a look.

  • Junk words hidden from the start

    All plans

New car hunts already hide words like "for parts" and "wrecking". Add your own.

  • Tags from the listing's own words

    Pro and Max

Dealer, salvage, damaged, urgent, negotiable and firm, shown on each listing.

  • Scam wording warning

    Pro and Max

A flag when a listing asks for gift cards, a deposit before viewing or a friends-and-family transfer. A hint, not a verdict.

Anywhere

Any place on the map, any radius

Facebook Marketplace hunts work wherever Facebook shows its listings without a login. Most of our testing so far has been in Australia.

  • Any suburb, town or city

    All plans

Search by name and pick the spot. No fixed list of cities.

  • Up to 500 km around it

    All plans

Pick a radius from 5 to 500 km (3 to 300 miles). One hunt covers the circle.

  • Extra areas

    All plans

Add another area to a hunt, for example your city and your parents' town. Each area uses one hunt.

  • Your units, their currency

    All plans

Kilometres or miles, and every price in the listing's own currency.

After the alert

Everything you need to decide

Zoopy does not buy or message for you. It gives you what you need to move fast and choose well.

  • Message starters

    All plans

Ready-to-edit messages to check it is available, make an offer or arrange a pickup. You send them.

  • Price history and similar listings

    All plans

See if the price has moved, and what else your hunt has caught near that price.

  • Price-drop alerts

    All plans

Hear when a listing your hunts caught drops by 3% or more. For everything, or only what you saved.

  • Watch what you saved

    Max

Get told when a saved listing goes pending, sells or comes back on sale.

  • See what sold

    Max

Filter your catches to the ones that sold or went pending after Zoopy found them.

Marketplaces

More than Facebook, in one hunt

Facebook Marketplace is on every plan. On Pro and Max, a hunt can also watch the other marketplaces of its own country. Everywhere else, including the United States, a hunt watches Facebook Marketplace only.

  • Facebook Marketplace

    All plans

Public listings, wherever Facebook shows them without a login.

  • AutoTrader Australia

    Pro and Max

Dealer cars in Australia, next to private sales on Facebook.

  • Kijiji

    Pro and Max

Listings in Canada, including Cars and Trucks by make and model.

  • AutoTrader.ca

    Pro and Max

    Cars in Canada.

  • AutoScout24

    Pro and Max

    Cars in Germany.

  • Kleinanzeigen

    Pro and Max

Classifieds in Germany, and cars from private sellers.

  • Quoka

    Pro and Max

    Classifieds in Germany.

  • Gumtree UK

    Pro and Max

    Classifieds in the UK.

Paces

How often each hunt is checked

Pick a pace per hunt. Your plan sets how many hunts can run at each one.

Turbo targets every 15 seconds
For hot items where speed decides it. Max 2
3-minute targets every 3 minutes
Busy searches you want to be early on. Pro 7Max 7
5-minute targets every 5 minutes
The right default for most hunts. Go 5Pro 7Max 5
10-minute targets every 10 minutes
Quiet markets and slow-moving items. Go 5Pro 7Max 10

Numbers are how many hunts each plan can run at that pace. Paces are targets: a busy moment can push a check a little later, and the outer areas of a very wide hunt are checked less often than its centre.

Straight talk

What Zoopy can't do

  • It can't beat Facebook's own delay. On Facebook Marketplace, new listings stay out of public search for about six to seven minutes after posting, for everyone. Zoopy reaches you after that.
  • It won't catch every listing. Zoopy sees what each marketplace shows in public search. Paces are targets, and very wide hunts check their outer areas less often.
  • Filters are not perfect. Tags and hidden words read the listing's own words, so a seller who hides a problem can slip through. Always check the listing and the item yourself.
  • It doesn't message or buy for you. You contact sellers yourself, on the listing's own marketplace.
  • Price labels are rare for now. Deal labels and value ranges only appear when Zoopy has enough close comparisons, which for now is a small share of listings. They use asking prices, not sale prices.
  • Push alerts need the phone app. Alerts reach your lock screen through the Zoopy app, which is in private beta on iPhone, with Android next.
