About Zoopy
Last updated
Zoopy is an independent app made in Brisbane, Australia. It watches Facebook Marketplace and other marketplaces for the things you want and sends a push to your phone when a new one is listed. It exists because the best way to find a good listing used to be refreshing a marketplace all day, and nobody should have to live like that.
Meet Zip
Zip is our fennec fox. Fennecs have the biggest ears for their size of any fox and hunt by hearing their prey before anyone sees it. That is the job: listen for the listing you want, and tell you when it turns up.
How Zoopy works
You make a hunt: what you want, your price range, a place and a radius. Zoopy's servers run your hunts around the clock against the marketplaces' public listings, the same pages anyone can see without signing in. When a new listing looks like a match, Zoopy opens it and reads the whole thing, checks it against your filters, and sends the alert. It never asks for your Facebook login and never posts or messages for you.
Facebook Marketplace is on every plan, wherever its listings are public. On Pro and Max a hunt can also watch the other marketplaces of its country: AutoTrader in Australia; Kijiji and AutoTrader.ca in Canada; AutoScout24, Kleinanzeigen and Quoka in Germany; Gumtree in the UK. Everywhere else, including the United States, a hunt watches Facebook Marketplace only.
How we check what we say
You will often see apps promise an alert the moment a listing goes up. We don't, because on Facebook Marketplace that isn't possible for anyone: Facebook keeps a new listing out of public search for about six to seven minutes after it is posted. So we measure, and we say where and when we measured.
- Speed numbers on this site come from our own tests on car listings around Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast in September 2026. In those tests the typical alert went out about 6½ minutes after the seller posted. Other cities and other items may differ.
- Paces (Turbo, 3, 5 and 10 minutes) are targets, and we say so.
- We don't publish reviews, ratings or user counts we can't show you. When there are real store ratings, they will be the store's, not ours.
- If something on this site stops being true, tell us at zoopy.ops@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
Where Zoopy is today
Zoopy is in a private beta on iPhone, with Android next. To keep alerts fast while we grow, we cap the number of paying members; when it is full, new people wait on a list. You can join the early-access list and we'll email you when you can get it.
Not Facebook
Zoopy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. Facebook and Marketplace are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
