Basics
What is Zoopy?
Zoopy is a phone app that watches online marketplaces for you, starting with Facebook Marketplace. You make a "hunt" (what you want, your price range, a place and a radius) and Zoopy checks around the clock. When a new listing matches, you get a push alert with the photo, price, distance and key details, so you can stop refreshing.
Can I download Zoopy yet?
Not yet. Zoopy is in a private beta on iPhone, and Android comes next. Join the early-access list on the home page and we will email you when you can get it.
Where does Zoopy work?
Facebook Marketplace hunts work wherever Facebook shows its listings without a login. Pro and Max add other marketplaces in Australia, Canada, Germany and the UK. Everywhere else, including the United States, a hunt watches Facebook Marketplace only. You pick any suburb, town or city and a radius of up to 500 km (300 miles). Prices show in the listing's own currency and distances in kilometres or miles. Most of our testing so far has been in Australia.
Do I need to give Zoopy my Facebook login?
No. Zoopy reads public listings, the same ones anyone can see without signing in. It never asks for your Facebook password and never posts or messages for you. When you want to contact a seller, you open the listing and message them yourself.
Which marketplaces does Zoopy watch?
Facebook Marketplace on every plan, wherever its listings are public. On Pro and Max a hunt can also watch the other marketplaces of its country: AutoTrader in Australia; Kijiji and AutoTrader.ca in Canada; AutoScout24, Kleinanzeigen and Quoka in Germany; Gumtree in the UK. Everywhere else, including the United States, a hunt watches Facebook Marketplace only.
Speed
How fast are the alerts?
When someone posts on Facebook Marketplace, Facebook keeps the new listing out of public search for about six to seven minutes. That wait is the same for everyone on Facebook Marketplace, including every alert app and anyone refreshing by hand. Zoopy is built to reach you right after it. In our tests around Brisbane in September 2026, the typical alert went out about 6½ minutes after the seller posted. That figure is for Facebook Marketplace in Australia; other marketplaces and other countries may differ.
How often does Zoopy check my hunts?
You pick a pace for each hunt. Turbo (Max) targets a check about every 15 seconds; the others target every 3, 5 or 10 minutes. Paces are targets, not promises: when Zoopy is busy a check can come a little later. A hunt with a wide radius covers several areas, and the area nearest your centre is checked at your pace while the outer ones are checked less often.
Does my phone need to stay on?
No. Your hunts run on Zoopy's servers, not on your phone, so they keep going while your phone is locked, in a drawer or out of battery. Everything they catch waits for you in your feed.
Hunts and alerts
What can I hunt for?
Anything a marketplace sells. Cars get their own hunt with makes, models, year range, kilometre or mile range and gearbox. iPhones get a model picker. For everything else (furniture, tools, bikes, consoles) you type keywords. Advanced keyword rules let you use AND, OR and NOT.
Can Zoopy hide dealers, write-offs and damaged listings?
Yes. You can keep dealer, salvage and damaged listings out of your alerts (they stay in your feed if you want to look). New car hunts also start with junk words such as "for parts" and "wrecking" hidden. Zoopy reads the full listing before it alerts you, so these filters check the description, not just the title. No filter is perfect, so always check the listing yourself.
Does Zoopy tell me when a price drops?
Yes, on every plan. When a listing your hunts caught drops its price by 3% or more, you can get an alert, for everything or only for listings you saved. Max also tells you when a saved listing goes pending, sells or comes back on sale.
Does Zoopy tell me if a price is good?
Sometimes. When Zoopy has enough similar listings to compare, it can label a price as a Steal, Good buy, Fair price or Overpriced, and Pro and Max show an estimated value range. It needs many close matches to do this fairly, so for now you will see it only on a small share of listings. Estimates use asking prices, not sale prices, and are never financial advice.
Can I control how alerts sound?
Yes. Pick a sound (or none), set quiet hours, and choose whether tapping an alert opens the listing in Zoopy or straight on its own marketplace.
Does Zoopy message sellers for me?
No. Zoopy gives you ready-to-edit message starters (check it is still available, make an offer, arrange a pickup) that you copy and send yourself.
Plans and billing
How much does Zoopy cost?
There are three plans: Go (10 hunts), Pro (21 hunts) and Max (24 hunts with Turbo). In the US App Store they cost US$22.99, US$69.99 and US$179.99 a month; in Australia, A$36.99, A$114.99 and A$279.99. A 6-month plan costs less per month. Monthly plans start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The App Store and Google Play show your price in your own currency before you pay. See the pricing page.
Is there a free plan?
No. Running your hunts around the clock costs real money, so Zoopy is a paid app. A free account can look around the whole app with sample data first, and monthly plans start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are billed and renewed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel any time in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
What is a hunt, and what counts toward my plan?
A hunt is one saved search: what you want, where, and at what pace. Each plan lets you run a set number at once and at each pace. A paused hunt does not count. Adding an extra area to a hunt uses one more hunt.
Why is there a limit on members?
For now we cap the number of paying members so alerts stay fast for everyone. When the cap is full, new sign-ups wait on a list and we let people in as capacity grows.
Privacy and safety
What data does Zoopy keep?
Your phone number or email, your hunts and settings, your saved listings and the push token that lets us reach your phone. We do not sell your data and do not show ads. You can delete your account in the app at any time. The details are in our privacy policy.
Is Zoopy made by Facebook?
No. Zoopy is an independent app made in Australia. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.
Does Zoopy check for scams?
Pro and Max flag listings that use common scam wording, such as asking for gift cards, a deposit before viewing, or payment by friends-and-family transfer. A flag is a warning sign, not a verdict, and no filter catches every scam. Meet in a safe place, inspect before you pay, and never pay a stranger up front.
